Working Bee 12 Oct 2014

A good turnout Sunday just gone meant a lot of work was accomplished. Railway looks dreadful after a pretty rough winter brought trees down etc. One of the highlights of the day was having No. 24 in steam. Peter V did a lot of surveying, Chris and Noel retaining and trenching, while Peter P and Rod were cutting/grinding/welding and kept all supplied with regular 'boil-ups' (tea breaks). Steve introduced Bill Clouw to the group who promptly joined the Albany Model Engineers  and paid his subs while eating lunch! (While the Winter Creek is a private track - the regulars all belong to AMES), Our neigbours - the Glassons came over for a ride and all made for a very pleasant and relaxed 'day on the railway'.
